iPads
Using an iPad as a tool in teaching and learning allows students to capture, develop, manage, share and publish their learning in the creative, engaging, multimedia way they experience the world.
Apps on our school devices have been carefully selected so that students become creators of their learning rather than consumers. Some of the Apps on each school iPad are:
Popplet creates mind maps that can include text, images and drawings. Students can use colour to differentiate branches of the mind map. This app is used to organise ideas and plan.
Book Creator enables students to create their own content that can then be exported as an EPUB file (read in iBooks) or PDF. These books are multimodal in nature and enable students to add content as text, image, video and audio.
Pic Collage create posters and images using Pic Collage which can then be used in other apps or printed.
Explain Everything an easy-to-use design, screencasting, and interactive whiteboard tool that lets students annotate, animate, narrate, import, and export almost anything to and from almost anywhere.
